Managing Agency: Tahoe National Forest
The Sawtalian Trail, which comes down from the Sawtooth Ridge to Italian Bar, is a very obscure trail with only some traces of tread still visible. It is a challenge to locate and follow this trail. It is also a little surprising that this trail appeared on some TNF maps in the 1920s and 1930s, where as the much more well constructed Dorer Mine Trail I have failed to locate on any TNF map I have seen.
